Study Abroad

Our curriculum includes one year of study and experience in Jerusalem where their mentors at the Conservative Yeshivah and other partner institutions coordinate their academic studies, provide supervision and take care of internships. This joint study program also emphasizes our common vision for the training of rabbis and cantors. Students engage in learning in a traditional yeshivah style environment, enhance their Hebrew literacy and develop high level skills in text study.

In the last years, we have seen significant expansion of Progressive Judaism in Israel with growing support within Israel for pluralism and equality between the streams. Our students immerse themselves into the diversity of Jewish traditions, explore Jerusalem’s synagogues and forge lasting ties with Israel and its people while meeting fellow students and future colleagues from around the world.

We pray that besides growing as Jewish professionals the students will understand better the character of our homeland Israel and bring love and understanding to their communities in Europe.
